New to Yoga?

First and foremost, welcome. We’re glad you’re here. Secondly, we recommend taking a look at our class descriptions to find a class that best suits your comfort level. Feel free to contact us with any questions before trying out your first class!

I'm not flexible, can I still do yoga?

You mean everyone can’t throw their feet behind their head and balance there? No worries, each body is different and we honor that at Om Grown. We offer an array of classes ensuring that you’ll find one to match your needs and experience level.

What should I wear to class?

We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so wear something that allows you to move freely. Socks are optional and we ask that you wear shirts with sleeves if you are taking an Anti-Gravity or Yoga Wall class. 

Do I need to bring anything?

A willing body and mind is all that we ask. We have mats for use and cups for water, however feel free to bring your own. 

What can I expect?

For your first time, you can expect to move, breathe, sweat, and release. Yoga is a wonderful journey that takes you to exciting places. You will be challenged, (perhaps even overwhelmed, at first), but with time and practice, the movements and breathing will become second nature.

What do I do?

We recommend laying your mat in the center of the space ensuring your proximity to the teacher so you can hear every cue. Should you ever get lost or confused, you’ll be in a place where you can look to your neighbors for a little help.

Do I need to register for a class online?

Though this isn’t required, we recommend you do just to ensure your spot for the class. Click here to see our schedule and register straight from there!
